Who We Are

Woodland Hills Assisted Living is an assisted living community that is family owned and operated by the McQuiston family.  Woodland Hills is licensed for 25 beds.  We are nestled in a small quiet local neighborhood in Weirton, WV.

We have an excellent record with the infection control surrounding these unprecedented times of Covid-19. We was the last long term care facility to record a case in the northern panhandle of WV, we was cleared in 2 weeks. We have mandated the vaccine and have strict infection control procedures in place. Masks are mandatory any time in the building (for all but residents), every one that comes in to the building gets vetted and temp taken, All of our employees and any vendors that do not get tested by their own company gets tested regularly, employees 2x week and vendors 1 x week. The entire building gets disinfected with a fogger once a week and all commonly touched surfaces get disinfected with a spray or wipe 2x shift. Our employees know the importance of keeping themselves safe to keep the residents safe, we have had an amazing staff that has been great through this entire ordeal. The state of WV performed an infection control survey to make sure and we passed with the only recommendation was “keep doing what your doing”. Right now there is visitation for families with restrictions, 1 visitor at a time set up in 30 min blocks, they are only permitted in 1 area, masks have to be worn at all times by the visitor, and there is a partition between the visitor and resident. Hopefully we can fully open in the future but for now keeping the virus out is the main priority.

Tamela McQuiston, Administrator/Owner has 35 years in all aspects of senior care. Tamela has worked in Long Term care since 1983.

Our assisted living community has nurses on duty 16 hours a day and caregivers on duty 24 hours a day to provide healthcare and personal assistance with bathing, dressing and medication administration, all in a homelike environment.

We believe that, as we age, we are still the same people we were when we were young – same hopes, dreams and memories.  We look at the individual interest, and arrange our activities around your loved ones interest.  We recognize the importance of individuality related to care.
